What is Epilepsy?

Epilepsy is a disorder of the central nervous system (neurological) in which brain activity becomes abnormal, resulting in seizures or abnormal behaviour, loss of sensation and sometimes awareness. Anyone can develop epilepsy. 

The two main types of seizures are:

Common seizures affect your whole brain. Focal or partial seizures affect only one part of your brain.
